Jennifer Iverson, Associate Professor in the Department of Music and Director of Admissions, will be giving a special presentation at this year's Humanities Day on October 21st. The presentation, titled "Porous Instruments: Synthesizers and the Circulation of Cultural Values," investigates the cultural flow of electronic sound through musical technologies—synthesizers, studios, turntables—which enable the circulation of raced, gendered, and classed sounds, as well as the production of social capital.

Iverson's presentation will take place from 3-4 PM in Stuart Hall, Room 102. Learn more about it here
