The USO transforms Mandel Hall with a program of musical Enchantments & Spells, including Goldmark’s Merlin Overture, Revueltas’ Sensemaya, the Dream Pantomime from Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, and the Dream of a Witches’ Sabbath from Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique. The Hyde Park School of Dance, the UChicago Women’s Ensemble, and soloists from the Vocal Studies Program join the USO for this fun-filled, family-friendly event, featuring costumes, storytelling, and special effects. Audience costumes encouraged!
Admission is free. No tickets required. Donations are requested at the door: $10 general / $5 students & children.
The 7 PM performance of Enchantments & Spells will be livestreamed on this page. The livestream will not be available to view after the performance.
