Join pianist Wenting Shi on a captivating musical journey through "Time Travel." We’ll begin in the elegant 18th-century Vienna, where the classical sophistication and playful humor of Haydn will transport us to an era of grace and refinement. Our voyage then takes us to early 20th-century Russia, where the emotive richness of Romanticism reveals the soul of a transformative age. Finally, we arrive in the 21st-century USA, where the vibrant rhythms and spontaneity of modern jazz bring our journey to a dynamic conclusion. Experience the evolution of music from classical to Romantic and beyond, culminating in the energetic sounds of jazz. "Time Travel" promises to be a truly eclectic and immersive exploration through music history.
Wenting Shi has received prestigious awards and accolades throughout her career. In April 2023, she received the Luminarts Cultural Foundation Fellowship Award in the USA, becoming a fellow artist. Prior to this, her notable recognitions include winning the First Prize at the Thaviu-Isaak Piano Competition (USA) in April 2023, the Second Prize at the Berlin Artur Schnabel Piano Competition in June 2022, and the Silver Prize at the significant 5th Hong Kong International Piano Competition in 2019.
