Tea Time Concert: Romantic Poesis - Harp and Trombone Duo

Romantic Poesis — a duo featuring Conghao Tian, trombone and Yuzhe Cai, harp — brings together the expressive richness of the harp and the lyrical voice of the trombone in an intimate exploration of romanticism, nature, and longing. The program includes works by Claude Debussy, Felix Mendelssohn, Marcel Grandjany, and Fazil Say.

The music begins at 4:30 PM, with tea and cookies served at 4:15 PM.

About the Artists: 

Yuzhe is an accomplished professional harpist and passionate teacher, known for her virtuosic technique and expressive musicality. A graduate of the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, she has performed with China’s leading orchestras and captivated audiences as a soloist through numerous recitals and concerts. Yuzhe is dedicated to sharing her love for the harp, inspiring both audiences and students alike. 

Conghao is a professional trombone player with extensive symphonic experience. He was previously tenured at the Central Conservatory of Music Symphony Orchestra in Beijing and studied with musicians from the Metropolitan Opera and New York Philharmonic. Conghao is currently pursuing his MBA at Chicago Booth.
