The Klezmographers – Toward Hopeful Skies: A Concert To Benefit Refugees From Ukraine

Join the Klezmographers, Eleanore Biezunksi and Pete Rushefsky, in a celebration of the children’s book Toward Hopeful Skies, a translation of Yiddish/Ukrainian poetry to benefit Ukrainian refugee relief. There will also be a brief introduction/talk about the project with Jordan Finkin, publisher and translator, and the concert will include an original composition by Eleanore and Pete based on the text of the children’s book. Admission is free, but donations for the refugee resettlement agency HIAS will be accepted at the door. This event is part of International House’s Global Voices series and is also being cosponsored by the Department of Germanic Studies, the Department of Music, the Department of Comparative Literature, the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures, the Yiddish Fund, the Center for East European and Russian/Eurasian Studies, and the Greenberg Center for Jewish Studies.
