The Early Music Ensemble performs a third concert of vocal and instrumental music by Claudio Monteverdi, including the prologue to L’Orfeo and the Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda to a text by Torquato Tasso. The ensemble will also perform music of Monteverdi’s contemporaries Luca Marenzio, Barbara Strozzi, and Salamone Rossi.
