The Early Music Ensemble performs a third concert of vocal and instrumental music by Claudio Monteverdi, including the prologue to L’Orfeo and the Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda to a text by Torquato Tasso. The ensemble will also perform music of Monteverdi’s contemporaries Salamone Rossi, Adrian Willaert, Vincenzo Ruffo, Luca Marenzio, and Barbara Strozzi with guest artist Brandon Acker, theorbo.
