Heather Wittels is the featured soloist in the world premiere of The Sky Between, a concerto for violin and orchestra written by acclaimed Chicago-area composer Shawn Okpebholo, who was selected by The Chicago Tribune as 2024 “Chicagoan of the Year in Classical Music.” The USO also presents Sergei Rachmaninoff’s lushly romantic Symphony No. 2 in E Minor, a masterpiece of concept and construction.
