February in Chicago may be gray and cold, but this program is a warm and colorful feast for the ears! The Early Music Ensemble presents a varied program of medieval and early Renaissance music for recorders, crumhorns, violas da gamba, voices, sackbuts, and more. Come hear secular French chansons, sacred polyphonic motets from the early sixteenth century, ethereal Gregorian chants, and jaunty dances by Praetorius, Attaignant, and others.
