Wild Rides!

With storytelling, costumes, and special effects, the University Symphony Orchestra takes you on some decidedly Wild Rides for Halloween 2021. Featuring Liszt’s Mazeppa and Malcolm Arnold’s Tam O’Shanter, along with Saint-Saëns’ Danse macabre, the Witches Ride from Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, and excerpts from Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, and E.T., the USO and the Hyde Park School of Dance kick off the 2021-22 season with unparalleled energy and enthusiasm! Maestra Barbara Schubert conducts – and makes a grand entrance. Audience costumes encouraged.

Two Shows: 7:00 and 9:00 p.m.

Free admission. Must reserve tickets in advance.
Donations requested at the door: $10 / $5 students & children

All event attendees aged 12+ who are attending public Music Department events must provide proof of vaccination. By exception, visitors who are unable to be vaccinated for medical reasons or due to a sincerely-held religious belief may provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the event, or proof of a positive test 14-90 days prior to the event with affirmation that you are not experiencing any symptoms.

All attendees aged 2+ must wear a face-covering over the nose and mouth at all times.
