The Afro-Cuban Folkloric Ensemble is a collection of performers, ranging from undergraduate student, to PhD candidate, to community member, dedicated to the study of Afro-Cuban folklore and the diverse musical styles that it entails. The ensemble will perform Tratado for Obatalá, Tratado for Ogún, and Toque de Güiro, three traditional songs that involve hand drumming, percussion and singing.
Complimentary tea and cookies are served at 4:15 PM, and the music begins at 4:30 PM.
