Physical Therapy for Musicians with Andrea Swanson

Dr. Andrea Swanson PT, DPT is a trained pianist turned physical therapist. Her experience navigating the challenges of music school with performance-related injuries and neurological issues inspired her to start a career as a physical therapist after working as a piano teacher and music director for several years. This workshop includes content based on the current physical therapy evidence, Dr. Swanson's clinical work with a variety of populations (including musicians), and from her first-hand experience of untangling the complexity of music education. This workshop will also include several interactive, guided movement practices.

This event is open to all members of the Music Department's Performance Program and musicians in the Department of Music.
