Heitor Garcia is a drummer and percussionist who has more than 30 years of music experience including performing, arranging, recording, and teaching. Since his arrival to Chicago from Brazil in 1991, he has been an active performer, participating in a large number of events in the US and abroad and has performed with a number of world renowned artists such as The Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Joe Vasconcelo’s, Grazyna Auguscik, Warsaw Symphony Orchestra Strings, João Donato Trio, Rogerio Souza, and Paulinho Garcia. Garcia will lead a master class with the UChicago Jazz Ensembles.
There will be two master class at 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
The public is invited to attend and observe.
