Enjoy Philippe Verdelot’s madrigals on the trials and tribulations of love; songs of battle by Andrea Gabrieli, celebratory dances from the collection of Marguerite of Austria, and even a Renaissance Dutch pop tune. Performed on recorders, crumhorns, Renaissance strings, voices, and more, this program will have you laughing, weeping, and celebrating humanity’s never-ending feats and foibles.
