Faculty
The Department of Music faculty is filled with diverse and interesting scholars and composers. Students have the opportunity to study music history from world-renowned scholars of 19th-century opera, specialists in the music of Machaut, and experts in the musical life of 17th-century Milan; music theory from authorities on tonal analysis and music cognition; composition from internationally recognized composers; and ethnomusicology from leading scholars on the music of the world.
