Artists in Residence | Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra
Celebrating its 50th season this fall, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra launches its second three-year residency at the University of Chicago with its signature blend of innovative programming. As the nation's only full-time professional chamber orchestra, the SPCO has earned worldwide accolades for its reputation of artistic excellence and a strong commitment to the performance of new works. The SPCO comes to campus once each quarter for an intensive residency that involves a concert in Mandel Hall, outreach activities at neighborhood schools, and coaching sessions with members of the University Symphony Orchestra. The SPCO also presents a special family concert each season, and several readings of new works by graduate student composers from the Department of Music. For more information, visit www.thespco.org.
