Artists in Residence | Newberry Consort
An ensemble-in-residence at the Newberry Library, Northwestern University’s School of Music, and here at Chicago, the Newberry Consort is a distinguished, early-music, original-instrument chamber ensemble. The Consort sustains and celebrates early music through performances, recordings, and related educational activities. Drawing on the Newberry Library’s vast holdings in the music of the 13th-17th centuries, the Consort uses original sources and scholarly editions as the basis of its performances.
