Performance Program
The Department’s comprehensive, co-curricular performance program involves students from all backgrounds and academic concentrations, and strives to nurture in each of them a life-long appreciation and involvement in the musical arts. The Department’s fifteen performance ensembles and programs cover a wide range of historical periods and cultural perspectives, and offer students exceptional opportunities to develop their musical skills and expand their artistic horizons. An array of master classes, workshops, artists-in-residence programs, and private lesson opportunities further enhance the students’ musical experience at Chicago. Supplemented by the vibrant listening environment on campus and in the city of Chicago, the University’s performance program serves the campus and community with distinction.
