Fulton Recital Hall Sara Wichner, Elena Guobyte, and Roger Moseley present works for flute, alto flute, and piano. The program includes the Partita for flute solo in A Minor, BWV 1013 by J. S. Bach; Martinu’s Sonata for Flute and Piano; 4 Duets for flute and alto flute by Vaughan Williams; and Fauré’s Fantasy for flute and piano, Op. 79.

Jazz X-Tet The ever-popular Jazz X-tet, led by Chicago jazz veteran Mwata Bowden and joined by guest guitarist Jeff Parker, performs its final concert of the season. Focusing on old and new swing works, the X-tet will perform Count Bubby by Gordon Goodwin, Blue After Two by John Fedchock, Gingerbread Boy and Ellington's Stray-Horn by Jimmy Heath.

Soo Young Lee In celebration of the reinstallation of the majestic E. M. Skinner organ in Rockefeller Memorial Chapel, University Chorus, Motet Choir, Rockefeller Chapel Choir, and the University Singers present a concert of new works by the internationally famous American composer William Bolcom and The University of Chicago’s distinguished professor Marta Ptaszynska. The performance will feature world premieres of Bolcom’s A Song for St. Cecilia’s Day and Ptaszynska’s Hymn of the Universe, both composed especially for this gala, plus Sir Charles Hubert Parry's coronation anthem I Was Glad.
