Wadmond funds
Both graduate and undergraduate students (rising third- or fourth-years) in the Department of Music may apply for stipends from the Lowell C. Wadmond fund for use during summer 2009 and/or academic year 2009-2010. There is no formal limit to the amount that students may request. In years past about one dozen successful stipend applicants were awarded amounts in a range from $400 to $4,000, with an average award of approximately $2,000. Students may request long- or short-term support for research and study relevant to your dissertation or senior essay. Preference may be given to research travel and advanced language study relevant to the specialization, but all proposals will be given consideration. Recipients must spend all allocated funds by June 15, 2010.
Students must submit a proposal of no more than 500 words describing the project; a detailed budget; a list of fellowship funds which the student will receive during academic year 2009-2010; and a current c.v.
